Mochas and Green Meatballs

Updates on yesterday's post...

I tried out the Magic Bullet this morning and made iced mochas for Trent & me. Very quick, very easy and very tasty. We'll definitely be having those again.

Tonight I used it to puree some bananas (for Saturday's breakfast of French toast) and broccoli for tonight's dinner. I made Spaghetti Pie from the Deceptively Delicious cookbook. It was about the only recipe I could try with ingredients we had in the house (desperately need to go to the grocery store!), but I did leave out two things I did not have - cottage cheese and carrots. Regardless, it was very tasty even though the meatballs were green from the broccoli puree. ;) Trent & I agreed that we couldn't even taste it.

I have thumbed through some other dinner options and added ingredients to my grocery list. If they are all this tasty, this cookbook will definitely be getting a lot of use. :)

  5. That cookbook has sure gotten a lot of attention. When I was at our Barnes and Noble before Christmas, I saw it on display right next to another cookbook that looks quite a bit like it. The bookseller said that Jessica Seinfeld was getting alot of heat over her book because the other book was written first, and some of the recipes are very much alike.

I'm still curious to try it here too. Danny resists vegetables like a little kid, so it would be a good idea here too.
