Friday Freebie: DIY Disney Stroller Tag Template

Last fall I shared details on the Stroller Tag I made for our last trip to Walt Disney World. I was asked about a template and had been meaning to create one.

This month's Friday Freebie is the DIY Disney Stroller Tag. It's free for personal use only and your download will include two .psd files. One features the name side and is ready to edit with your family name and, if you choose, add the resort/hotel name and trip month/year at the bottom. (Note: if you don't have Waltograph font, download it for free at dafont here for use with the Stroller Tag template.)

The second file contains a red, black & white Mickey background with a single white text letter to edit with your family's last initial.

After you've download the template, edit the files, print, trim and seal with a wallet size Scotch Self-Sealing Laminate Pouch. Punch a hole and use a ziptie or ribbon to attach to your stroller.

Don't have Photoshop? No worries. I have a simple free printable available as well. Just print and handwrite your family's name. Then seal like the template option.

Friday Freebie: DIY Sports Room Poster

I'm still playing around a bit with decorating in Dylan's "big boy" room. Thus, I keep failing to share the after photos to follow up the toddler room post. But, I did want to go ahead and share the latest artwork creation I made for it. I wanted to add a little bit of personalization and goodness knows I take a LOT of photos so a large photo collage made sense.

I used 16 photos and left the bottom blank for a few ticket stubs. Three shown are currently under the glass. I'm searching out a couple more to add (one of those things I know I save too many of and, of course, am now struggling to find!) and then will rework it under the glass.

I created a similar poster using his artwork. Still need to choose a frame and location for that one.

Feeling inspired? I'm sharing the template I made to create the collage pictured above. It's 11x14 and contains masking for 20 photos so you can choose to leave a blank row as I did or fill it full. The template is free for personal use only.

Enjoy! And, please, feel free to link up your creation. I would love to see.

Friday Freebie: Christmas Elf Calendar

Our Christmas Elf, Christopher Pop-in-Kins, will be returning soon. Dylan is already excited. Last year was our first year so it was a new experience all around. One thing I didn't like - a bit of evening stress when trying to determine where our Elf might be the next morning and/or what he would be doing.

This year with experience under my belt and a few new ideas added to my board at Pinterest, I sat down to create a calendar with a daily plan. No more 11pm panic attacks this year. It's all laid out and ready for us from when he returns on Sunday through Christmas Eve.

Download the Christmas Elf Calendar here. Or, if you want to create your own options, download a blank copy here. I hope this makes your holiday season a bit easier and more enjoyable too.

Have an Elf idea or a photo to share? Feel free to leave me a link or share it on my Facebook page.

Happy holidays!

Friday Freebie: Disney Resort Fun

The photo book of our trip to Walt Disney World wouldn't be complete without a page about the fun we had playing at our resort, All-Star Music. All trips need a little downtime and after spending the morning at Animal Kingdom, we returned to the resort midafternoon to do just that. We played games in the arcade (the middle photo cracks me up - my attempt at a shot of all 3 of us playing a racing game. Dylan was in my lap and the mouse ears on his head are just barely visible) and swam in the guitar pool before ordering a pizza for dinner. Simple, fun Friday night in the happiest place on earth.

Supplies: Inspire papers by Sarah Sullivan (recolored); Count on Me brushes by Deena Rutter; Dude kit & Clearly alpha by Robyn Meierotto.

Want to recreate the look of this page? Do it easily with this month's Friday Freebie template. The template features 12 layers including photo masks, arrow head embellishment & title. It's free for personal use only.

Friday Freebie: Meet the Pack 2013

In honor of the start of football season tomorrow for our alma mater - I'm sharing a free template this month based on a page I made with photos taken at Meet the Pack day a few weeks ago.

I decided to use a shot of the stadium as the focal point and added lyrics to the school alma mater overtop. The bottom photos were taken during the autograph session and at our house with the sign we picked up for our front yard - This is our State.

The template features 9 layers including photo masks, journaling and the title & outline. It's free for personal use only.

Friday Freebie: Mouse Ears & Pressed Pennies

I mentioned in my Disney Packed Fun for Less post that I would have a free printable to share at the end of the month. I had fun creating simple labels to dress up mini M&M's tubes complete with a few hidden Mickeys. The "chocolate mouse ears" tubes did have mini M&M's in them (which was a hit as a treat but a miss as I didn't think about the old "melt in your hand thing" - totally will in hot FL weather so have those handwipes ready!). The other held a stack of coins (2 quarters & a penny, repeat) so we were ready for the pressed penny machines. Dylan is really into those right now and they make a fun, inexpensive souvenir.

The labels fit 6 to a sheet on Avery Shipping Labels 8164 or similar. Peel off the original label on the tube. Then print, peel & stick the new ones. Simple as that.

Friday Freebie: Disney Character Word Search

In planning for our Disney trip, I decided to create a word search to pack in Dylan's carry on bag. He recently began showing interest in them and it was an easy, customizable project.

I made two versions of the search using the same 10 characters. I matched pictures with the names to help him "read" them himself so he would know what he was searching.

Whether planning your own trip or just looking for a new activity, I saved a PDF of the searches to share. It prints as a single 8.5x11 sheet.

Friday Freebie: Nature Park

Last month the three of us had fun exploring a couple of nature parks. The first was a newer one to the area and the larger of the two - Wilkerson Nature Park. We all had fun playing in the natural playground. Afterward, Dylan selected the lake trail for us to walk. A simple Saturday morning of fun outdoors together.

Supplies: Inspired kit by Tia Hoffman; Happy Camper kit by Sara Schmutz; Gill Sans font.

Similarly, I kept the layout simple to focus on 3 of my favorite photos. The template contains 7 layers including 3 masks for photos or papers, journaling and a leaf stamp. It is free for personal use only.

Friday Freebie: Easter Chick Craft

Earlier in the week, I shared a photo on Instagram of an Easter craft Dylan made:

I was asked if there would be a tutorial. Unfortunately, no, as it came from a kit I bought last year at a craft store. I have a habit of picking up little things like this on clearance after holidays and saving them for the following year.

The idea stuck in my head though and I came up with a quick freebie. It's an 8.5x11 PDF printable with my own sketch similar to the chick Dylan made. Print it out. Cut the pieces (or let your child if he/she is old enough). Color, paint, use as a template to trace onto construction paper, etc. Lots of creative options! Draw eyes or add googly ones like Dylan chose (another item I keep in our craft stash).

Enjoy and have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Friday Freebie: In a Tree

January weather in the middle of NC can be anywhere from cold to hot. At the moment, it's cold with a chance of freezing something later today (sleet, ice, who knows?), but last weekend it was sunny and in the 60s. Perfect for a bit of outdoor time. Dylan tried his skills at climbing one of the trees in our front yard. Naturally, I snapped a few photos which inspired this layout ...

Supplies: In a Tree template; Woodsong papers by Deena Rutter; Woodsy Animals embellishments by Audrey Neal; rober font.

In creating it, I also made a template to share. It contains 8 layers including 3 to mask photos (or papers) and is free for personal use only.

Friday Freebie: Santa Photo

Each year we've managed to join our playgroup for a photo with Santa. This year we had 4 of the 6 moms & kids and, once again, the boys didn't want to be "alone" with the man in red. Forget how excited they were moments before. ;)

Although Dylan looks less than pleased in the photo, it's a favorite of his. Every time he sees the photo, he grins and exclaims "Santa!" Then names all of his friends. Maybe next year the boys will brave the photo without their moms? Maybe.

Supplies: Santa Photo template; Merry Little Christmas mini kit and paper set 3 by Erica Coombs; Messy Cursive - Holiday word art by Robyn Meierotto; The Basics - Patterned Brads by Sande Krieger; Century Gothic font.

Now the fun part ... I'm sharing the template I created for this layout with my readers! It contains 10 layers. The large photo mask on left is sized to fit 5x7 Santa photos. Use the 3 smaller masks for photos or papers. The template free for personal use only.

Friday Freebie: 'I Spy' Book

Dylan loves I Spy books so when I saw the idea on Delia Creates blog for DIY I Spy Books, I knew I needed to make him one. He loves it especially since his toys are featured. He'll dig through his Duplo blocks to find the physical matching pieces as well as searching the photos. :)

Here's a peek at a few of the pages ...

The fun part? I'm sharing these pages with you. The alphabet find page is a bit different. It's 6 squares like the other search pages and features ABC instead of Dylan's name.

You can download the pages here. Please remember they are for personal use only. Thanks and enjoy!
