baby boy

Working on more of the early pages for Dylan's scrapbook album. Here are a couple of the ultrasound photos from the day we learned we were expecting a boy. (The blue at the top isn't quite so bold in person. I struggled to get a good photo of this and, as much as I've tried with Photoshop, it's still a bit off on the colors, but enough to get the idea.)

A detail shot:

Supplies: Recollections kraft paper; Stampin' Up cardstock; Chatterbox, October Afternoon, Paper Salon and Cosmo Cricket patterned papers; Little Yellow Bicycle rub-on; miscellaneous twill ribbon and staple. Designed based on Sketch #100 by Sketch This.

Welcome home!

I'm getting a little nostalgic with Dylan's 1st birthday just over two weeks away. Here's the sweet photo we took of him sound asleep when we arrived home from the hospital:

A closeup of the sticker & tag:

First Snow

I've been working on getting photos into Dylan's album. It's a mixture of scrapbook pages & photo pages. As I came across this photo from December, I knew I had to scrap it for two reasons - 1) Dylan looks so cute bundled up in his stroller and 2) it was his first snow. Almost impossible to tell the latter from the photo because it was only flurries and, of course, they had slowed by the time I got this shot. It was a joy to watch his excitement & curiosity as they swirled around us. I based the layout design on sketch #98 at Sketch This.

Supplies: Archiver's cardstock; Chatterbox, KI Memories & Little Yellow Bicycle patterned papers; Making Memories metal snowflakes & edge scraper; American Crafts brads; My Mind's Eye journaling tag; Micron black pen.

the Evidence

While home during a snow day in January, Trent & I overheard a bit of chasing and hissing. Cali appeared a few minutes later with a chunk of white fur hanging from her mouth. I couldn't help but laugh (and take a photo of the evidence). No questioning who won this battle. Chester was found and checked over shortly after - no bald spots and purring as usual so he was a-ok.

Supplies: Bazzill cardstock; KI Memories patterned paper; StazOn ink pad; Basic Grey chipboard arrow; Signo Uniball white pen; American Crafts rub-on letters; misc. cardstock; Another Typewriter font; staple; EK Success border & corner punches. Inspired by Sketch This: 82.

I bought a bottle of the new Prima flowers at Michael's last week and they've been sitting on my desk since then waiting for an opportunity. I decided to use them first on a card inspired by Sketch This: 51.
