Manic Monday

The Bangles keep running through my head today. It's been a LONG one. I was grateful to walk in the front door tonight and, at least for a few hours, leave work behind. We had planned to try and make the yoga class at our gym. However, Trent had stayed home today not feeling well so we opted instead to try the new Gaiam Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss DVD my brother gave me for Christmas. We did one of the 45 min routines and both feel worlds better. Amazing how missing something that simple can alter how you feel. We need to reinsert it into our weekly routine one way or the other.

2ps blog challenge:
Do you tend to find yourself always trying to keep up with the in scrappin trend? Or do you just go with what your flow is at that time?
I definitely do not follow scrapping trends. Half the time my stash is full of "last year's" hot items. To be "in" doesn't matter to me. I prefer to enjoy the art form and work with what I find appealing at the moment.

  4. Sarah, I am so with you on the trends issue. I'll buy new stuff if it appeals to me. But I'm all for using my old stuff too - I just moved my scrap space into a new area, and rediscovered tons of old stuff that I can't wait to use. Think BG's Lucky and Color Me Silly etc. LOL!!

  5. It's great that you are doing yoga. I have gotten into Tae Bo and used to do it all the time but I got sidetracked and stopped. I just bought a new DVD and I can't wait to start working out again.

  11. Wow I just looked around your blog and your scraps are AMAZING!! I'm so impressed that you have the creativity and energy to do such beautiful work. I have to say since the hubs has been gone more the scrapping has gone with him. But you might have inspired me to take some on.

And wow on doing yoga daily too.

  12. That is such an awesome song; now it's gonna run through my head for a few days too.

I prefer a more "timeless" look to scrapbooking...if I like a trend, I'll jump on the bandwagon, but I try not to go overboard. My local scrapping group (we have a Yahoo group and meet in person at least once a month to scrap, visit, or hang out), often does spending freeze challenges to see how much old stash we can use up. It helps with creativity too, if you really have to make do with what you have. (and yes, we often fall off the wagon, lol)
