Last night I baked two small loaves of banana bread - one for us and one for our neighbors who are expecting. I used the recipe from the Deceptively Delicious cookbook which includes pureed cauliflower. Well, the house smelled so good from it last night, both Trent & I tried a bit of ours. Absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be making this again. :)
2ps blog challenge:
What was your favorite childhood book?
Stuart Little is the first book that came to mind when I read today's challenge. It was my first "big book" that I read on my own and I remember being so proud of that accomplishment.

ReplyDeleteYummm... I love banana bread. Pureed cauliflower? Great way to sneak in some veggies I guess.
ReplyDeleteWhere have you been? Missing you on the DW thread. Are you feeling any better?
Cute giraffe card, and yay for banana bread, but I would not want to know there was cauliflower in it. I like that veggie ok, but hm....maybe I'll try a bite of banana with cauliflower one day and see how weird that is. I'm just wondering, what did the cauliflower replace in a traditional recipe for banana bread?
ReplyDeleteThat banana bread looks good. I think I need to get one of these hide-the-healthy-stuff cookbooks. My kids are not great veggie eaters.
ReplyDeleteThat new baby card is super sweet.
