A few of the treasures I returned with from our beach trip were lots and lots of seashells plus a bag of sand. I decided to use some of the sand and a few of my favorite small shells to create an altered jar.
This was so easy and fun, I'm thinking I might do one for future beach trips too changing the style & size of the jar.
Supplies: jar (from Michaels - $1!); sand & shells from the beach; white cardstock; Making Memories tag rim & eyelet; Brush Script Std font; Blue Moon Beads sandfish charm; hemp cord.
That's really neat! And I love the jar! I've been collecting that style, a bit bigger I'm guessing - for flour/sugar/etc.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a nice memory. I have a little jar of shells from my trip to California years ago. Every time I look at it I am reminded of that amazing trip. What a great idea to continue that tradition with future trips. And I love the tag...
ReplyDeleteOooh! So pretty! TFS. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteI have shells in jars too but without the sand. Only because I didn't want to deal with it. :)
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I would do over is I would keep the shells straight from the different beaches so I could label them. I like how you did that. I have shells from Delaware, NC and SC mixed together.
